BINDERY OPERATOR/FINISHING DEPARTMENT
REPORTS TO: Production Team Lead and Production Manager
JOB FUNCTION: Responsible for bindery operations
Job Duties:
- To load, operate, maintain, and repair bindery machines for saddle stitching, perfect binding, spiral binding, strip binding, or wire binding of documents, reports, booklets, and books. High quality control standards, actively on the lookout to catch mistakes before the jobs is completed.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prefer a minimum of 2 years experience in the print industry
- Strong quality control standards
- Attention to detail and ability to multi-task
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain detail orientation such as proper workflow and prioritization of jobs
Additional Responsibilities:
- Participate in bindery activities, as necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Maintain regular attendance.

PREPRESS TECHNICIAN
REPORTS TO: Prepress Team Lead and Production Manager
JOB FUNCTION: Responsible for Prepress duties
Job Summary:
As a Prepress Technician, you will be responsible for preparing and ensuring the quality of digital files before they are sent to production. This role requires strong technical knowledge of prepress software, color management, and print production processes. You will work closely with designers, printers, and other production teams to ensure smooth and accurate file preparation.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and proof digital files for print production, ensuring the highest standards of quality and accuracy.

Review, edit, and convert files in various formats (PDF, AI, EPS, TIFF, etc.) to ensure they are print-ready.

Perform preflight checks and troubleshoot any file issues to ensure they meet printing specifications.

Maintain and troubleshoot prepress equipment and software, ensuring uptime and efficiency.

Collaborate with designers and production teams to address any file-related concerns or adjustments.

Ensure color consistency, resolution quality, and proper file setup for different print processes.

Monitor job queues and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.

Stay up-to-date with the latest prepress technology and printing industry trends.
Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Prepress Technician or in a similar role within a printing environment.

Proficiency in prepress software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop), PitStop, and other industry-standard tools.

Strong understanding of color management, file preparation, and print production processes.

Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to digital files and printing.

Knowledge of various printing methods (offset, digital, etc.) is a plus.

Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
